Joseph C. McAlexander III is a highly accomplished engineer, inventor, intellectual property strategist, and expert witness whose career spans more than five decades across semiconductor technology, integrated circuits, product engineering, quality systems, and intellectual property analysis.
As Founder and President of McAlexander Sound, Inc., a professional engineering and consulting firm based in Texas, Joe has advised leading corporations, law firms, innovators, and investors on complex technology and intellectual property matters since 1988. His expertise covers patent infringement analysis, prior art investigations, patent portfolio development, product and process evaluation, failure analysis, licensing strategy, technical due diligence, source code review, and reverse engineering. Throughout his career, he has been retained in hundreds of technology-related disputes and has provided expert testimony in numerous high-profile patent litigation matters.
Prior to founding McAlexander Sound, Joe held leadership positions at EPI Technologies and spent fourteen years with Texas Instruments, where he managed engineering, quality, reliability, and manufacturing operations involving advanced semiconductor memory technologies. His technical background encompasses device design, fabrication, testing, process control, and product commercialization.
A Registered Professional Engineer, Joe is recognized as an inventor on 31 U.S. patents and multiple international patents spanning semiconductor memory systems, tracking technologies, sensors, and communication systems. He has also authored technical publications and taught courses in semiconductor physics, integrated circuit design, fabrication technologies, and statistical quality control.
